Default What exhaust should I go with?

I'm a new LS1 owner. I have a 99 B4C car. I'm installing a set of Mac headers, and Y-pipe. The cat back exhaust is still stock. I want to get that stock exhaust sounding meaner. What exhaust works best with the headers and Y-pipe? Reading tons of posts, a LM doesn't sound the way to go with that set up. I know a guy who can build me a custom exhaust is this a better way to go?? Then I'd need to know what muffler to use.
Any help would appreciated.
Michael

the magnaflow sounds pretty good w/ mac headers (hope you have the ory). ls1sounds.com ... Check under magnaflow, theres a car with mac headers, ory and magnaflow cat back and a hot cam... sounds real good.

Personally, I think catbacks are "mostly" a waste of money.

The peformance difference between them and just a muffler swap isn't worth the $$ IMO.

Some performance will be gained, and the sound was a night and day difference for me between muffler and catback.

Check out the various brands on LS1sounds.com and decide what soounds the best to you and fits your budget. Personally I HAD to get the Corsa, I fell in love w/ it. BTW, my car is on the Corsa section.
