id rather look good / sound good than have longtubes with a shitty catback.

my vote goes for lower/gmmg.

are you after looks or performance? If looks, then lower the car and put on the gmmg. If want performance then put on some LT's and y along with the gmmg exhaust. I would not waste my money on the flowmaster. My vote goes for the LT's

Looks or performance. Pick one. IMO DON'T lower it. It will mess you up if if you ever try to launch it for real. Why would you go with flowcrapper?? How about not lowering it and going with LT's to duals?

i wanna look good and sound good
im for performance but it will be a good while, if ever, b4 heads/cam
and thats when i need LT headers and a stall

i already have a race car and this is my daily driver so im really just tryin to make it look somewhat aggressive and still have a mild setup
nuthin that is maintenance

now yall know what im lookin for
so wuda ya think ???

You can mod for performance without heads/cam. Headers and a higher stall will give a very nice improvement on a stock engine.
I don't see any extra maintenance as a result of upgrading the exhaust.

It kinda sounds to me like you want to lower it and are trying to convince yourself that that is the way to go.

Go LT's with true duals. My setup cost me about $500.00 with everything. Yeah, I sold a few stock parts to offset the cost, but you can't beat the performance or sound. Sweet Thunders all the way. Lowering does look good, but it is hard on speed bumps and some drive entrances. I picked up .4 and 4 MPH on an automatic. TD's are cheaper than you think. If you do it, you'll NEVER regret it. Sound is amazing and I get way more looks from people who hear the car than I could ever hope to get from lowering the car. Just my $.02.

Cats and GMMG won't rasp, will sound very good actually. I still vote for duals though.

gmmg and lower it, but thats a biased answer u wont go wrong with gmmg, then if u go lt's with it and no cats u will really love it. my neighbor about 6 or7 houses away came outside looking for me, he thought i was going by but was just in my driveway, ah i love it lol

if i decide to go the GMMG route hooked to my centermount setup, then do i need to do the cats and high flow y-pipe at the same time

or should i just keep stock cats and y-pipe and do the GMMG cuz i may get headers later on but not sure

has a flowmaster catback rite now with a round pipe welded in the driver side of the y-pipe just to get rid of the flat pipe and its not loud unless its floored and its still not all that loud

i want somethin thats louder and i love the way GMMG sounds...

im thinkin my favorte setup is gonna be LT headers/cats/y-pipe with either GMMG or my Flowmaster setup
but the headers will only come if i get heads and cam unlessi come into money just to get the headers/cats/ and y-pipe

if u are gonna get headers dont mess with cats and y until then. i had a flowmaster too and i liked the deeper rumble that it had but didnt like the flow of it. i heard gmmg and bought it at my next pay check lol. i have a bunch of clips of flybys and what not on ls1sounds. its gmmg, stock internals and no cats. WOT sounds so mean

If you really want to lower it and want long tubes save and get the QTP headers. They will tuck up nicely and they are the best (along with the Kooks). The QTP's advertise how they have the highest velocity and make a bit more power than the rest.

The standard stainless QTP and Kooks are the same. The QTP is available in the Nascar style high velocity merge collector which adds around $400 to the price.

hey guys
thanks for the help

i think im just gonna do the GMMG and lower it about an inch for now

and then when i get money i will either do Kooks,SLP, or Dynatechs
with high flow cats and a y-pipe

if the car is too low then i will raise it back up to factory
cuz i know i want the LT but not rite now
