fast intake install??
can someone clarify the install process for the fast 90mm intake. on the manifold to engine assembly page of the instructions they talk about a Bond sleeve. what is that? and what are the o-rings for that come in the pack of hardware? how much hardware is actually used? thanks for your help. i just want to make sure i have everything i need and a complete understanding of this install, i dont want to make a $800 mistake.

Hi Folks
First, the manifold dooes not come with injector or intake (gaskets around the ports to the heads) gaskets. The expect you to reuse you gaskets from the stock manifold. You can buy them also when you order the manifold.

they are larger ones. not big enough for the tb or the intake ports, but not small enough for the injectors. they are about the size of the round circles on the bottom of the intake itself. for the knock sensors??

It sounds to me like someone slipped some burst panel o-rings in your hardware pack by mistake. If you didn't order burst panels, then don't worry about them. As for the install, You need to remove your intake first. Then replace the bolts that hold the valley cover on with the button head allan bolts that come in the pack. After you install the intake port gaskets, make sure there is a piece of foam over each knock sensor. My Fel-pro intake port gaskets came with the new foam. You can then thread the long allan head bolts down, but make sure you have the supplied washers on top or you will crack the intake. Then using the sequence, torque to 30 inch lbs, then go back over them at 50 inch lbs. PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you a nice solid way to get the MAP sensor to stay in the back with no leaks.

It might sound like a silly question, but is everyone using washers under the nuts on the short front and rear bolts (6) that hold the LSX together and under the nuts on the throttlebody mount bolts? I have washers under all the bolt heads, but didn't know if I needed washers on the backside, too?...thanks.
