Default Oil pan bolt torque specs

Was reinstalling my oil pan today, specs are ment to be 25Nm or 18ft/lbs.
Well the bolts are getting tight as in torqued tight not stripped thread tight.

Clean threads and bolts but it just feels like 25Nm is going to be too much, on about 20Nm now and anymore I think there going to strip, but I also dont want to risk stretching the gasket.

Anyone had similar drama's?

All the cover bolts including the pan are 18 Ft LBs, except the back 2 long bolts. I dont recall off the top of my head the specs on those but you will strip/snap those for sure if you tighten to 18 FT LBs.. I go by feal n the back to as even the spec can be an issue.

Yeah the back smaller 2 are approx 9ft/lbs but my wrench doesnt have measurements that low on the guage, go by feel, will do the same on the others as they just feel to tight.
