Default True duals with straight pipes?

Here's what I'm going to do, since I want a slightly less 'ghetto' setup for my exhaust: run the LT's into a 2.5" x-pipe, into 2.5" straight pipes, with turndowns just before the axle. So basically, true duals with straight pipes. Should have better ground clearance than my current setup, hopefully better flow, and hopefully deeper sound. Anybody ever done this? BTW, I'm not a newbie, I was formerly known as bull99ls1. Thanks as always.
