Default how to seal map sensor to fast intake

i installed TEA Stage 2.5 LS6 heads, FM13 cam, Fast 90mm with a nick williams tb, and 1 7/8" stainless kooks on a buddys car this weekend. Car has Zero Tuning as of now (getting tuned fri). also the car is running open headers since the ypipe didnt come in in time

car started up and idled fine, however when you drive it, it bucks really bad and misses and sound like its loading up. it also will stall out as soon as you pull up to a traffic light

it is throwing a few codes so i pulled them and got:
(1) p1153 - insufficient switching bank 2 sensor 1 (possibly bad pass front 02??)
(2) p0106 - MAP system performance (map sensor not sealing in intake????)
(3) p0105 - MAP sensor circuit insufficient activity (same as above ????)
(4) p0155 - heated oxygen sensor circuit bank 2 sensor 1 (not sure on this one)
(5) p0135 - heater circuit bank 1 sensor 1 (again not sure)

for codes 2-3 i am pretty certain its cause the map sensor isnt sealing good to the fast intake (does this sound right), what would be a good way to correct this?

thanks
ryan

from the research I have done it seems as the most common answer is to put some silicone around it or I even found one guy who used a rubber grommet. I havent personally done the install yet, mine will go on this weekend

Ryan, PM me your e-mail and I will send you a file on how to fix the MAP problem. It will require you remove the intake, but it is a shure fire fix. It didn't take me long to remove my intake and take care of it. The O2's are throwing codes because they are at the rear of the header and reading outside air. You will get crazy O2 codes until you seal them off with exaust. Open headers will also cause the car to load up cause the o2's can't read between inside and outside air. I burned a 1/2 tank of gas diriving 30 miles with open headers.........

In my case, the silicon wouldn't stick to the intake. It's like it had a resistant coating on it. Kinda weird, but the e-mail I sent you will fix it with no silicon.

I used Black RTV/silicone and I've never had a problem.

Ditto send that bad boy my way also. I'm in the process of installing a Weiand and having the same problem. I used blue RTV to seal it up, but before I install it in the car, I wouldn't mind taking a look at a different method to ensure it doesn't have to come out to get sealed again.

Put the silicone on the grommet itself and let it get tacky. Then install it in the intake.
