header install question

Question header install question

I have got the first two header bolts out on the passenger side, how do i get to the back 4 i have tried everything but i cant reach them cause of the a/c system, any help would be appreciated please

Did you take off the coil packs?

not yet i havent, if the ac box wasnt in the way i could get them out so takin off the coilpacks will help

take the coil packs and spark plug connectors. if you don't already have a 10mm ratchet wrench, i suggest investing in one. it helps a ton for the back bolts.

yea i have been tryin to find one the only one i found was bout 4inchs long which u might as well be usin ur hands lol on that but im still searching, i will try the coilpacks an see if that helps appreciate the info guys

Theres gonna be alot of stuff in your way, just stick your arms in there and start wrenchin, your hands are gonna get cut up anyways, might as well get started! I didnt remove my coil packs and I had no problem getting the bolts off, however he's right, removing the coil packs will make it easier. Just find the right combination of socket extensions for each bolt and its a piece of cake.
BTW, a gear wrench will be your best friend on the last bolt on the #8 cyl. which you will probably have to get from underneath the car

I got that passanger side rear manifold/header bolt from under the car. I think it's A LOT easier. Or get someone with smaller hands to help you out. Never hurts go let someone else give it a shot.

dude lay on the car and stretch ull find the best positions to get at all the bolts ... most of them will take many turns to get out

oh yea it was a pain in the a$$ but i got it out finally, i appreciate all ur help guys, got the install finished tonight an man its well worth it, the headers tuck up really nice
