Default Mufflex Hanger install

Does this look like it's installed correctly ?

I don't see how you can use the heat shield stud for the mounting bracket like the instructions say which is why I am wondering if this thing is in right. It seems to me like the clamp can only go on the pipe one way, with the nut facing down ? I tried switching this around a few different ways and just don't see how else it can go on but maybe I'm missing something?
I know the header wrap looks like s hit but I thought it might help if the pipe does still hit.

I had some difficulty myself...I installed it on a Kooks ORY and I had to reverse it from what the instructions said...I also had a bit of trouble with the fact that the Kooks ORY is flattened in the exact spot that the hanger is installed...I figured, whatever works!...here's a pic:

I just ran the SS a little while ago for the first time and my Kooks ORY didn't bang at all...and with the new "healthy" cam in there, the engine really rocks...so, I'd say it did help in my case.

That's exactly how I had mine installed at first but I was still getting some noise under hard acceleration. I didn't think the instructions were very good either.
I did a search here and couldn't find any pictures of it installed. I found a copy of this post in my desk, I had printed it out back from when I was researching headers & Y pipes: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...hlight=Mufflex
There was a good picture of it installed which is gone. It was showing it on like mine is now but somehow using the heat shield stud for mounting. No way that's going to happen. Maybe it's not important how it goes on, I guess like you say whatever works. Thanks for the reply & picture.
