Cat question My friend said that its best to run no cats if you have a lot of work done to your car....he said he has seen gains on cars with moderate modifications that run a catted y compared to ones without cats....is this true.....is it better to run cats or no cats....thanks
I ripped mine out, but I don't have to worry about emmisions. If I did, I guess I'd go with some high flow cats. Not sure about #'s on gains, but cat's=restriction. Makes sense to me! 
The cats are a restriction of exhaust flow. True the more air you let in the engine,IE. cam, intake ect.. The more air you have to get out. The stock cats and even high flow cats,flow pretty good. Some one else might chime in with dyno#s W/ and W/out cats, but the gains might not be as big as you would think. I run a ory because I dont have to get the car emmisiened and I gain alitte in the prosses.
