Weiand intake and fuel evap line
Weiand intake and fuel evap line Just about done installing my Weiand intake, and have run into a problem with the fuel evap line (the hard line that connects to intake on driver's side right behind where TB mounts). On my stock LS1 intake, the connection is flat with a little lip where I assume the plastic connector locks in. The connector on my weiand is barbed and progressively gets thicker the closer to the intake you get. How the hell do I mount the line on that? Would it be ok if I remove the hardened line all together and just use a rubber hose in place of it?
Use rubber hose, it will work fine. I think I used 3/8" reinforced fuel line on mine if I recall. Make sure to snug it down with nylon pullties on both ends.
There's nothing special about the stock EVAP plastic piece, it's just a connector.

Except I always use hose clamps on barb fittings. Zip-ties/Tie-wraps will eventually fail.
