Best muffler?
My SS with the direct replacement splitcase Spintech flows real well and is what I would consider medium-loud for going through a muffler.
I only lost 14rwhp going through this muffler vs open cutout. 399rwhp with cutout open and 385rwhp with it closed through the Spintech.

If you want loud and awesome performance, the SLP loudmouth will do the trick. GMMG is also on the loud side but rather expensive. Magnaflow is also one of the best performance exhausts, but its not nearly as loud as loudmouth or gmmg. You can also make the Borla loud with the adjustable plates it comes with.

Same thing I tell everyone else. Search, read the stickies and read the exhaust guide. Also use ls1 sounds.
You say you wnat awsome performance but is also loud. Normally those two things go together. As long as you never run without cats you can't beat the loudmouth or something similer in terms of sound volume and flow rate.
SLP DD, hooker and magnaflow are nice but arent particularly loud, especially with cats. GMMG is good but expensive. B&B/corsa are too expensive IMO and aren't all that loud either. (corsa louder than B&B)

twisters or moroso spiral flows..basically the same muffler. the dual cutouts were worth only 4rwhp over my spiral flows. plus they sound awesome. i had them last year and people said they were restrictive so i bought a set of magnaflows which i ended up selling but this year i bought the spirla flows again and actually tested them.

Never heard them in person but, sweet thunders are a popular choice for true duals. Also until you are sure what you plan for your car, I would stay with just a cut out. Plenty loud and plenty cheap.
