Question Problems after Hookers/Wires/Plugs

So I helped out my buddy with his Hooker Headers, Wires, and Plugs. Here are the symptoms well we removed all EGR and AIR hoses and that small part that sits right beside the Intake Manifold on the Drivers Side. Started her up and the first 2 times she idled okay but did sound like it wanted to shut off we are not getting oil pressure and it does shut off after 5 seconds of start up. Now we do have the Headers open so I know that has alot to do with it having open headers but other than checking the wires and spark plugs and header bolts to see if they are tight any other things I should look for? We dont have access to Auto Tap but no SES lights came on whatsoever. Should we go ahead and put the Y-Pipe on and see if the problem continues?

Do the egr provisions that come with Hookers need to be sealed off? We had them open on start up and how about the EGR hose that goes into the LS1 Intake we cut it off but just had it siting on the intake just so it wouldn't be open but it is slightly loose...

You must seal off the EGR provisions on the Header's!! You must seal off the EGR tube or get rid of it completely and seal off the LS1 intake/egr port. And you must have the PCM tuned(EGR AND A.I.R. DELETE). Did I read correctly that you DONT have oil pressure?? If so better check all connections and sensor hook up's before starting it again....dont hurt the motor!! Good luck

Problem solved.............

It was definately the EGR tube that was open know it idles right and had it running for 15 minutes without trying to shut off.
