Weird Plugs On Hood?
I was washing my car today, cleaning the engine bay, and was wiping down the underside of the hood. I found 4 circles to the back of the Ram air nostrils, filled with thesse push-in pop-out "PLUGS". There are 4 of them. I popped all of them out thinking mayb it would be extra air coming in through the hood, and it seems possbile, but there is NOT a direct flow through. These wholes are about 1/4-1/2 inch lower than the nostrils or atleast the first wholes behind the nostrils and you can see this. Each plug is about the size of a Watchface.
Does anybopdy Else have these on there hood, or did the previous owner have something there? I thought that maybe it goes more directly into the air box if the plugs are removed, or so i thought i was pretty unsure. nothing seemed any different. I also thought that they went wider then the Air box and that by removing them there would be added turbulance under the hood.
Can some1 tell me what they are for, why they are/were there, and if they have them as well and what could happen if removed?

There are the plugs, if you open your hood and look behind the nostrils theres almost like a black box there-there are 4 holes that i found these plugs in-i was hoping someone knows what they are for and if they could hurt anything if removed. When I removed them i started my car-after washing it- and it idles at 1000 RPMS or a HAIR over it and sat there for a lil bit but then lowered to about 800

Wehn looking through the nostrils theres 1 whole in each one- and behind it theres blackness and a small air inlet. with these pliugs removed you can see both of the other wholes and they are lower and allow you can see both of them very easily.
I thought also mayb they tried making a more effective ram air-but it looks to clean to be done byb anyone-looks factory almost so i thought kind of weird i guess
