cut out exhaust question
cut out exhaust question i just got my cutout out put on, right before it goes over the the rearend, man does it sound good idleing you can really hear my cam, but it is loud and there is a lot of rasp, i'm running no cats too. i was wondering if i put a bullet muffler that is a straght through muffler just cut downs on rasp, right before the cutout if it will make it sound a little better driving it, but still sound like it does idleing, has anyone dones this
I had a similar problem, and a bullet really doesn't solve it as the exhaust sounds just as raspy under throttle. When I changed my Y pipe to the Mufflex (with a flowmaster-style Y collector) rather than my old Y pipe where one pipe basically runs into the other, it made a HUGE difference and 95% of my rasp is gone now. I think the collector makes the biggest difference out of the whole setup.
