Default pedal clip

hey all not sure where to post this so here it goes. Ok i need to know where i can find the little clip that holds the little shifting lever to the shifter pedal. Its a little clip that holds them together, also the gas and brake pedal have the same clip. The clip on the shifter pedal got messed up and i need a new one but none of the local auto stores have it or even know what iam talking about if anyone knows plz let me know where to find it.

I thought you were talking about the actual spring. But either way I wouldnt worry about it unless it serves some other purpose besides holding the spring to the pedal. When mine (spring) broke after month of chirping, I thought about replacing it, when I talked to the dealership they told me it was 18 bucks for the "assembly", maybe that includes the clip you are talking about. But I decided not to after reading how most people dont worry about it.

That happened to me. I thought my clutch gave out. It was just the clip and it sucked to drive in 3rd for a couple miles till I could coast into a parking lot and check it out.

my pedal popped off in rush hour traffic because the cruise control sensor that tells when the pedal is not depressed broke and it wedged and pushed the master cyclinder arm off the pedal, popping the clip off, pedal went to floor. i just put the rod back on the pedal and kept driving without the clip, worked fine for a couple days and then i finally found the clip and put it back on. i doubt any normal parts store will carry this item. go to a dealer and ask for the clutch pedal clip that holds the master cylinder rod to the pedal assembly.

Based on what you've explained, I would guess that you need part number 17...however, I have never taken one of these apart. Here is the exploded view from the GM parts manual...let me know which number it is in the pic and I'll try to get you the GM number...

I'm pretty sure it's not 22 or 23. Just go in and ask them for the C-clip for the clutch pedal that connects it to the master cyl. rod.
