honest opinions please I already have an LS1 Motorsports Lid, K&N filter, and the free ram air mod done on my 98 T/A. my question is, if i seal my airbox from the engine compartment leaving just the area leading to the space in front of the condensor and radiator open, would installing an FTRA, or SLP cold air intake really help out any more?? i really dont see how, i mean, it is already going to be getting the cooler air that is in front of the condensor and radiator, i just dont really want to spend the $120 and not even be able to tell the difference in performance. the engine would be running slightly hotter anyway because you are blocking of airflow through the radiator. maybe im not thinking it through enough, what do you guys think. should i buy a FTRA, or SLP or just save the money and go for another mod, i truly dont see it helping that much to be honest. your guys' opinoins would help, thanks.
Basically most people feel a difference when installing them. I felt a difference at higher speeds when I installed my SSRA. They are pretty damn expensive though, if you want just keep an eye out in the parts for sale section. Every once in a while one pops up for pretty cheap.
