mine did with stock plug wires. I got MSD plug wires and you can bend them out of the way.

Wouldn't the rubber hose still make contact and melt? Anyone use Taylor wires? How about those protective sleeves?

turn the wire away from the tube. That what I had to do with my hooker LT's. I still bought taylors, but right now I have the stock wires.

I'm using the taylors... You should be able to turn the connector to the coil pack, should angle the wire away from the primary...

Its not the wire itself but the boot that going into the sparkplug.

the taylors have smaller boots on the plugs, makes for more room. and like I said, you can turn the connector at the coil to angle the wire away from that primary.

I dont know how the taylor wires are, but with the MSD wires you can actually bend the boot (not just twist it out of the way) so it doesnt touch the header.
