problem w/ tsp lid
Ill try putting a paper one in, or I was thinking of putting something on the tabs some how to push it down in the back.I had a mti lid that did the same thing,even with the k&n.

I have noticed the same thing on my TSP Lid. It is the newer version with the rivets on the rear. The front is held tight to the filter seal, but the rear does not. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this until a few weeks after I installed the lid, and had a bunch of crap in my MAF screen. Hopefully I didn't pull anything to harmful through the motor!!! My car's air intake was unmodified at the time, still using the stock paper filter.
As a temporary solution, I removed the "tray" that the air filter sits in, and placed some foam below it on the rear edge. This lifted the filter and tray up high enough to create a tight fit against the lid at the rear, and should seal it all the way around. I don't like this as a permanent fix though as it is now even more difficult to install/remove the lid. Another solution would be to insert some kind of spacer on top of the four tabs that hold the rear of the lid in. These tabs are positioned too low, and don't force the rear of the lid to seal.
On a side note, is it normal on other lids to have to drill the hold for the AIT sensor? My TSP lid didn't have one when I received it?

I did the same thing put some foam in to raise the back of the tray but like you said I dont want to leave it like that.I have a whisper lid and it looks like Ill be putting it back on if I dont get the tsp to work.thanks for all the replies every one
