Default Question about the WS6 hood and Induction

I was looking at my hood the other day, and noticed in the ram-air part of the hood, that there are 2 rain shields in the box that leads to the air intake. Has anyone been successful in removing these (they're rivited)? I feel like these are a big air flow restriction. Any thoughts?

I removed mine last week, there r no negative side effects, that i read of anyway. Almost every guy on here with a RAM AIR hood had done it. It simple & only takes like 5 min. Just drill out the baffles & pull them out. The two smaller one will be glued in pretty good so use some force. They will POP loud when they come off, but wount hurt anything. U will also need to get a BGRA system to make it a fully functional RAM AIR & seal the approx. 1" gap between the air box & hood. I have noticed that it will also cool off the engine bay a little too with the extra air flowin into it. And if u dont like it just rivit them back in.

That's the first thing I did to both of my cars. I don't drive it in the rain purposely, but I made some rain blockers that will fit behind the screen if I were to get caught out in a heavy downpour unexpectedly. Haven't needed em yet. Good luck!

If you haven't done it yet then check out the link above. It is a writeup on how to do it. Be careful for the front baffles as if you aren't careful you can crack your hood when taking them off. They are glued on so work the glue loose before you tug on them.
