2.5" pipe on 3" collector...losing power?

2.5" pipe on 3" collector...losing power? I went with QTP 1 3/4 headers and 2.5" duals on my car. In order to fit the 2.5" pipe over the 3" collector the shop just stretched the piping over the collector. The exhaust goes straight from the 3" collector down to 2.5" pipe. I was wondering if this is hurting me and if anyone has any data showing what kind of difference it would make to maintain collector size longer. IMO this is restrictive and I was thinking about adding another 12" of 3" pipe off the headers before going down to the 2.5" the rest of the way. I am hoping this would maintain velocity better out of the header.

me 3. I just had my heads put on w\ a bigger cam and now i noticed that it pops sometimes like my LM used to and is a tad raspier. im thinking about going w\ kooks 1 7\8 LT's and the tsp 3" dumped TDs
