You have to clean it. Seems easier to me to unscrew the old one, chuck it and install a new one. I always use AC but that is because I'm a GM guy.

Go to walmart, i use a fram for 6 buck. The oil you use to clean that filter will mess with the MAF.

The oil that messes up the MAF is when people over oil their K&N air filters and it gets on the sensor. We're talking oil filters here, won't get anywhere near the MAF.

DON'T USE FRAM! I just figured this out for myself a couple months ago, but apparently fram filters are pieces of . The most popular around here are wix, K&N or Mobil 1, but just about anything is better than fram.

I wouldn't trust this until it's been proven. For now I'll stick with the tried and true replacement.

Would anyone care to be the ginea pig (sp?) on this? I would but I jsut replaced my oil on R&R and won't be back to the states for another couple of weeks, but long term testing is the real issue here. What do you guys think? Couple of us get them and see how it works out?

That filter is $99 plus shipping. I think I might stick to my wix for now.
