Need help... PLEASE..... Anyone
Need help... PLEASE..... Anyone Ok... I am having some problems with the car and I don't know why. Here we go... Thursday, my voltage was low so I had the battery and alternator checked. Was told the alternator was going out and needed to be replaced. So I replace it with a new one. Jumped the car (so it would start) and meter was still low. 
Pulled the battery out, took it and had it checked... was told the battery was bad, so I replaced it. Put the new one in, meter is still low. Drove the car up to autozone, said the battery was good. But when I shut the car off and then started it again, the lil machine they have, said the starter, alternator, & battery needed to be checked/replaced. So, $215 later, I still have a problem. The guy said the only thing he can think of is an electrical problem! So, what do I do? Can anyone help me out? Please.........

How long ago did you put that ASP Crank Pulley on there? There is also an alternator pulley you can buy to speed up charging, correct?
I'm willing to bet that if the cam and pulley listed in your sig are recent additions, it may have to do with a poor charging situation.

The cam and pulley were installed back in April.. so 3 months ago! All of this just happened within the past week! I quit driving the car everyday to work, and drove my other car. I only drove the car on the weekends and have never had any kind of problems, till now.
remove all grounds in engine bay ( 1 on pass fender well, 2 on radiator support , 1 on driver fender well ).....remove paint from surface directly under ground eyelet, thoroughly clean eyelets with sand paper, reinstall grounds......that should help

I was thinking the same thing, but then i saw you have an m6 so i dont think that the crank pulley would really effect you that much... but wut do i know? lol

yes it plugs into the alternator. Unfortunately you will have to pull it out gain to do this. If you are underneath the car, you will have to feel for the plug in on the alternator. Or pull the alternator and look at it from the top.

I bet it will solve the problem. One more question. For this connector, was I supposed to take anything off the old aternator, to put on the new one for the connector to plug in to?

Well the problem is fixed. Thank to you guy's, I have solved my problem! I forgot to hook up the exciter wire on the alternator. Actually I didn't even know that there were 2 wires! But everything is good now! Thanks everyone for your help and info you provided!
