Default Loud noise

Still have a rattle that comes and goes consistently. Its not the heat shields but its coming from the exhaust right after the cats where they connect to the y pipe. Anybody have this problem? It is really loud at idle.

Car, exhaust, y pipe info?

Have you been under the car to listen for the rattle?

The internals of the cats can come loose, may be your problem.

My mistake.

2000 Z28, magnaflow muffler, stock y and cats. Yes I was under the car and when I held the part that connects the y pipe to the cats and used a rubber hammer to find it, the rattle went away.
