very interestin question does anyone know if there is anythin like an O2 sim but for the egr valve and air pump that you can just tear that stuff outta the car and plug in those sims and not worry about the ses light comin on. and if there is where can you get it. thanks

You will have to get the codes turned off. Do you have any somewhat local sponsors, or LS1 oriented shops? It's not very expensive to get a basic tune and have them shut off. I had my codes tuned out by ls1 speed and they took the money I paid for that off of the full dyno tune price a year later after I got my cam. 
I've been driving my car with the SES light on for a little while now. I am eventually getting my PCM flashed for this year until my "buildup" next year.
I would look into the HP Tuners since it is an unlimited resource for whatever your needs may be with the car. You can change settings infinitely if you so desired. Or you could locate a shop that flashes PCM's. There is a company around me that flashes PCM's but they are non-sponsor so I better not mention them.
