SLP: Power Drain?
So Ive had my Loudmouth for about a year now- started my job with a guy that has a 00' TA. He heard the SLP and loved it... only to tell me a couple days later that SLP (as he was told by the "Exhaust shop guys") is a total drain on power... especially loudmouth! All it does (he says) is make sound- no power at all! Even though I agree that if you are looking to shave off major time in the 1/4 mile with exhaust then you are sorely mistaken, I have a hard time beleiving that Magnaflow (offered by the same "exhaust guys") would be so much better than SLP. I have a friend with Magnaflow, and besides being not much louder than stock, I cant tell any difference in power. Any input would be appreciated.
'sMy take on exhaust is to always go for sound first anyway. If you take the highest dollar, best flowing muffler, and put it up against the cheapest POS they make for our cars, you're looking at a 5rwhp difference. Big whoop.
My Flowmaster was dirt cheap, and sounds bad ***. What more can you ask for?
