Default true duals

I was wanting to see if anybody has true duals ran all the way out the back under the axle? If you do how is your clearance with or without lowering springs. Also pictures would be great if you have them.

Mine should be done this weekend. I already had it all up to check the ground clearance and it looks real good. I took it all back down because I'm waiting on a mandrel bent 90 for the one header, so no pics. From the x back looked good though. My car is not lowered in back but I have about 4-5 inches of clearance at the lowest point, which is plenty for me.

Nope. Nobody has ever done this. They've never done it over the axle either. You'd be the first. Go for it!!!

you guys need to go over the axles, I have it and with a drop you'll sometimes here a thump as it hits the floor pan. If you go under the axles you have to consider that when you go fast over a hump your suspension will expand and the exhaust doesn't you will hit the exhaust on the rear and bend something. Just something to think about.

Not if you mount it while its on jack stands. Thats what I'm doing and after the car is down, I have 4-5" clearance. I don't need a lot of clearance because I don't drive over curbs or speed bumps. If you try to install it this way, you may not get the same clearance as me because I have hal shocks. They don't let the axle drop as much so they helped me.

Did you have to do anything special to get it over both sides? Also what size pipe did you use and if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for it?

I used 3" stainless steel from the headers to the X then 2.5 the rest of the way. I got most the stuff off ebay. I think its like $39 per 5'. You need a bender or a lot of prebent elbows, they are $39-$49 each so it can get expensive. I used a bender from work and still needed a coulpe of the sharp turns prebent. I'm in the process of finishing right now, I'll post pics when I'm done.

3 inch x to 3 inch bullet mufflers then 2.5 inch pipe over the axle. I got the x pipe for $100 from speed inc, got the bullets from summit for $40, and got the welding and bending done at a local exhaust shop. Total cost was about $250 sorry about the late post
