Hooker on the way

Hooker catback should be here in the morning. I just finished taking my old exhaust out (that was fun), I was just wondering if there is anything special or any tips I need to know about before I put the new one in tomorrow?

I had to cut 2" off each tail pipe to get the tip's to sit under the bumper, other than that done deal

cool, thanks for the tip. Is there anything I need to special to prevent any exhaust leaks?

Get the stianless band type exhaust clamps dont use the "U" type. I welded all mine but I used them on the headers to Y and Y to I pipe, no leaks and they dont crease the pipes like the U clamps.

"Hooker On the Way" - Has a catchy sound to it huh?

Not sure what type of clamps come with the kit, but trust me, you DON'T want to use the u-bolts if you have an intention of taking the exhuast off again. You can get the band clamps from just about any autoparts store. I got mine from o'riely's for about $10 a peice.

Got it on today! Everything went really well, took about 2 hours from the time I took the box out of the truck to the time I let the car off the jack stands. It sounds good, not real loud, but a nice deep tone. The only thing i'm not real sure about is the tips, but I think i'm gonna tuck them under the car more and get them out of site.
