Straightforward answer???
Straightforward answer??? I have asked multiple companies and everyone gives me mixed answers. As an option to true duals I am considering a set of QTP headers mounted to their offroad Y-Pipe with dual electric cut-outs. I wouldn't mind retaining the stock cat-back for now until I decide on one that I like, but heres the questions I just can't seem to have answered:
1) Can everything be installed inside my garrage (ie. no welding, cutting, permanent modifications to the car)?
2) Is the Y-pipe stainless steel like the headers?
3) Will this Y-pipe bolt onto the cat-back, stock or aftermarket?
Anyone with experience in this matter; I would greatly appreciate your advice. I place more confidence in hands on experience rather than some salesman behind a computer.

Well I can answer the first question. You can absolutely do it in your garage. I did it by myself in my garage in about 8 hours.....my first time. Could probably do it in half the time now. Hopefully someone will chime in about your other questions.
1.no, i had to cut, weld to get the y to fit and my ground clearance still sucks
2.yes but the merge is aluminized
3. yes but you might have to cut the i pipe.

Thank you, that is what I was wondering. Thought it seemed too good to be true... :-( Should I just invest in true duals over the axel and forget about any Y-pipe and catback all together?
