Changed coolant and now heating?
OK folks, I changed my coolant and thermostat the other day, and since then the car has been running warmer than normal. My dummy gauge stays at just under 210 all the time, so thats no help, but my fans are coming on, and they had never come on before this. I have had them reset via LS1 edit to 195, and 210 respectively. Not having an accurate temp. gauge is really annoying me with this, BTW.
I switched tstats to make sure that wasn't the problem. Same problem with replacement and stock.
The likely problems that I can fingure are that I think I have overfilled the system, or that air is trapped in the system.
After replenishing the system, I let the car idle with the radiator cap off. Is there any other way to bleed the system? I don't know of any bleeders.
Ideas?
go to step 13 and start from there. This is how you bleed the cooling system after you do a thermostat change.
