Rasp
I'm running Kooks LTs/ORY through a GMMG catback...I added a Borla XR-1 to the intermediate pipe...it took care of alot of the rasp, but there's still some...I just try to "drive around" it by varying my RPMs...
I used to have 3" true duals with hooker headers an H pipe and bullets. No cats and dumped at the rear axle. It was raspy as hell. Almost to the point that you couldn't think.
I was trying to extend the pipes out the back to reduce the rasp and drone one day and I cut the turn downs off so that I could mock something up. I had my plans all ready to go when I started the car up to go buy the parts I needed.
I instantly noticed a difference in sound. The drone and rasp was almost completely eliminated. It was so much better that I didn't even extend them out the back. I just left it that way. I got so many compliments on the sound it made after removing the turn downs.
Just try removing them, you can always slip another set of turn downs back on if it doesn't work.
