Default ls1 ----> ls6, tb question

just put on the ls6 manifold today. on the ls6 the top bolt for the tb doesnt thread into anything. (there should be a gold metal piece there). i tried to take out the one from the ls1 but it wouldnt budge. do i pound that out? or get a new metal piece from a dealer? i checked autozone and they didnt have anything.

Where did you get this manifold? I'm willing to bet those inserts are inserted during the mold process. You would think you could epoxy or jb weld in an insert if you could find the right size. Luckily it's not holding onto much.

no, just the top hole for the top tb bolt. tb is only held by 2 bolts right now. i got it slightly used for a local vette owner. i was trying some bolts yesterday, and any long enough bolt with a few washers and nut will work and hold the top of the tb to the manifold, i made this more complicated then it should be lol.
