Default backfire?

Ok, I just installed my Hooker catback and plugs and wires. When I rev it up it pops and backfires when you let off the gas. I did my catback first and did'nt notice any popping afterwards. After changing plugs and wires I did notice it. The car runs fine going down the road and is'nt missing or anything. What do you guys think it could be? I'm wondering if it is'nt the AIR or something, but now sure. Anyway to test anything to see what is causing it? Thanks guys.

Check your plugs. Mine did the same thing and it ended up being a cracked plug.

Mine does that first thing in the morning.. Then, and every once in a great while after I get on it.

Same here, that's the sound of performance....and hardly any backpressure.

Sounds like you could be running a tad lean, check your a/f ratio on a wide band if possible to see where you're at and go from there...
