Installing my march pulley???
Not another pulley thread!!! I was just wanting to know what tools worked the best when installing the march underdrive pulley. I absolutely do not want to beat it on. I am also having a little trouble finding a tq. wrench that goes up to 240#'s. So far all I have is an extra gm bolt and the pulley puller.
Do you use the longer arp bolt to just seat it or do you actually leave that one in? I have also searched and seen the all thread rod method.

try to find a longer bolt - i tried everything from heating the pulley to torching just the inside of the pulley to beating it - the longer bolt makes all the difference - and don't attempt the autozone tool...it didn't come close to being able to work for me

So just use the longer bolt to seat it, and then take it out and re torque with a new factory bolt?

You won't be able to seat it all the way with a longer bolt. Get it as far on with the longer bolt as you can without damaging the crank and then use your original bolt to finish seating it and then install the new bolt.

I never realized it was this much of a PITA! I just don't want to mess anything up or put to much stress on the internal threads, Thanks for the help.

Seems that most people like using threaded rod to seat the pulley though which makes sence because you won't be putting as much stress on the crank threads.
