Open Headers
Open Headers I have been driving on open headers about 2 miles everyday for the past week. And just today while i was cruising my SES light came on. Havnt thrown one ever and today it just popped on.
Any ideas wut it might be? All the sims/sensors and everything have been fine for a week, why would the SES light just come on?
I disconnected the - terminal on the battery and ill reconnect it in like 10 min or so, hoping it resets the ECM.

Well that didnt work, still have an SES light. Im getting my ORY put on today, and theres NO tuners in this area.
Does autozone pull codes for free? They just come out to your car and will scan it?

Yes, they have a basic scan tool and it will tell you what codes are being thrown. Everything I have heard about open headers is that sometimes all the fresh air coming into the headers screws up the sensors and may foul them up causing it to throw a code. Get ORY installed, reset the computer and go from there. Also, autozone cannot delete codes.
Yeah i know they cant delete them, but i just wanted them to get read so i know what it is.
ORY is going on today around 2ish, so ill let yall know what happens.

I vote O2's also. FYI if you're trying to reset the PCM by unplugging the battery, you're going to be waiting. To reset the PCM:
Turn igntion to run (don't start)
Pull PCM IGN & PCM BAT fuses
Wait 4-5 minutes.
Turn key off.
Replace fuses.
PCM is now reset, and all codes should be cleared. Depending on how many mods it will idle pretty crappy until it relearns how to idle and some other stuff.

Verdad Gallardo Well got the ORY on. And i took it over to autozone and he ran the code and said i was running to lean. And then i started the car back up and the code went away :shrug:
Now im driving fine, no banging, litttttle rattling nothing major i cant work out later, and most importantly no SES light!!!
Sound is pretty loud but ill get used to it, its not as loud as i expected. When i get home, im gonna let meineke look it over and make sure everything is done right.
