Default Will I be OK?

I am installing a set of Race 3/4 QTP race headers with a custom built Y pipe. For now I will be hooking it up to my stock SS catback. Can the cat-back handle the increase in exhaust flow until I upgrade to a magnaflow?

Are you asking if you're going to hurt the catback? No you won't. Will it be optimal for performance? Not really, but you already know that. That's why you're getting the magnaflow.

Sure you'll be OK. People here are running heavy cams through the stock cat backs. Look at my sig.... I'm running all that through an SLP dual-dual- and this thing runs like a raped ape!
Summary: You'll have no problem.

Ok sounds good. I will keep it for now. Anybody know if you can remove the catback without cutting the I pipe first?

Yeah you should be fine, like someone above said, the only thing it will "hurt" is you hp/tq because it wont be optium flow, as for being able to drive it daily with no issues and problems youll be A OK!

You either have to cut it, or drop the rear end.
