Default Fast 90?

I'm thinking about getting a direct port nitrous kit soon and I'm wondering if I should have it done with my intake or go ahead and set up and get a Fast 90. I know I don't have much done to the car right now but I'm planning on getting a cam later on. Do you think I should go ahead and get the FAST intake or just stick with my LS6 intake?

I'm pretty much stock myself but I see a FAST 90 in my future.

If you do a DP setup, the FAST is a nice solution since they have the boss's built in to the intake. You can also option in the blowout ports on the FAST in case of a backfire, the ports blow out instead of your intake . If you don't do the DP setup, then stay with the LS6 and spend your $$ elsewhere with your mods IMO..

I'd stick with the LS6 intake for now, and get the fast after you throw a cam in. When not on the dope, your bottom end will suffer without much gained up top.

Consider the 78mm FAST set up instead of the 90mm unless you have a big cube motor or pretty radical big cammed small block. The LS6 is a damn good intake!!

If I could do it all over again I wouldnt have wasted my money on an LS6 intake. But future plans call for something more extreem than what I have now.

Do you think the HPE R cam is big enough for what you are talking about?

Not sure about the specs for that cam...give HPE a call and ask them their opinion on what size intake for the combination your running. IMO the FAST 78mm should be the one to get...

I've heard the fast 78mm is barely better than the LS6. Why not wait till you can use the fast 90/90? If you are going to spend all that money you might as well do it right the first time. Most people seem to stick with the LS6 untill they are ready to step up to the fast 90/90.

the Fast 78 breaths better than the LS6 from 5.5k and higher. For those who are spinning past 7k the fast would be better than the LS6 and carry your power a little farther through the reve range for stock cubes. Now once you go large cubes then the 90/90 setup starts to look better

I didn't realize they were better at all. I figure I'll stick with my manifold and just get a wet kit for now and sell it later on when I get the rest of my mods out of the way then go direct port then.
