Is a K&N Worth it?
Secondly, the K&N has less actual filter media vs the Holley because the K&N has about a 1/2 inch of unuseable filter media all the way around due to the gasket rubber wicking into the filter media.
Unless you have a legitimate reason to run a oiled filter {like you have your baffles removed on your WS6 and your filter gets wet when it rains}, it really isn't worth the hassles and price.
Oh, and sorry, no Civic for me. If you like them that's cool too, I guess.

Sorry if I hijacked the thread with my first post.
BTW gas prices here are $2.87 for supreme. Good thing I don't drive a lot.

On the other hand, my Harley gets 40.
But, if I wanted good gas mileage I wouldn't have bought the truck OR the Camaro...
I don't see that a K&N got me significantly better mileage than a paper filter. However, I may go back to a paper filter - I did that FRA mod and the filter gets pretty dirty now. Throwing away a paper filter sure looks good. But cleaning the K&N isn't that expensive.
It's almost a toss-up. I guess I'll have to think on it some more.
