help choosing a catback
I know this subject has come up many times but im just not satisfied. I have a 98 ws6 with 28000 miles. It has an slp loudmouth exhaust. Sounds ok but at certain rpms and when shifting at low speeds it backfires. In my opinion this makes a sweet car sound like a pile in a hurry. My friends who have it have the same problem. Im looking for a nice sounding cat back exhaust, no rasp or backfires. On ls1sounds i really like the flowmaster but i am hesitant because i read on here that they are crap. Is there anyone who likes flowmaster or does anyone know of another cat back system that sounds similiar but has better performance and flow. Thanks.

I like my Magnaflow, I think it sounds 100% better than my buddy's T/A with the loudmouth.
If you've got some extra cash, spend it on a GMMG catback.
You can't go wrong with either one.

If you wanna keep it loud, save some cash and just replace the resonator with an 18 inch bullet.
Or, get one of these:

Dont go with the Flowmasters, they dont flow as well as the other catbacks. I have the Magnaflow and love it, it sounds really good and I am running an ory. You should just go to www.LS1Sounds.com and listen to the various catbacks. Then just go with the one that you like the most.

True Dual Exhaust
Why don't you install a true dual exhaust system on your car that goes over the rear axle and exits out the rear from beneath the bumper in the stock locations? With true dual exhaust, you will pick up horsepower, torque and a sound that is great!!! With true duals there will be NO RASPY sound either!!!
