Default 1 3/4" or 1 7/8" Headers?

I will be installing futral motorsports heads and a custom cam a little bigger than the f13. I will also have 150 shot of on top of that every now and then. Will i benefit from the 1 7/8" or will I lose low end and mid range hp/trq. I dont go to the track much, its a stock displacement daily driver. Thanks for any input, I need to make a decision so I put my H/C on

I would ask Futral that question

Just off the cuff, I'd say you should be alright with 1 3/4's.

BTW, hope you have plans for a torque converter...

Yea I do, I have a bunch of parts I been buying and just been putting in my spare bedroom waiting to install everything at once. Its time for me to buy headers now next is the nitrous, the fuel system and save a little more for the tune and I will be ready to install everything.

Sounds like the Edelbrocks might be your ticket... 1 3/4", stepped up to 1 7/8".

1 3/4 is all you will need. Only reason to go 1 7/8 is if you have a high stall converter and you will never see lower rpms. I recommend 1 3/4 all the way up to 408 if its a street car. All depends on what you want out of the car. Is it a track hound or a street cruiser. Street use you want your low mid range.
