Question about Cooling Tubes and PCV

Question about Cooling Tubes and PCV I recently bought a 04 LS6 Engine for my 98z. And i was wondering if i would need block off plates for the coolant tubes? I always read how people with LS1 need the block off i was wondering maybe i dont need them because i have LS6 heads. I ordered 04 LS6 coolant pipes from the dealer. So i wanna make sure i get the plugs if i need them. Also another question what PVC valve do i need for the motor i went to gm ask for a PVC for 04 z06 he said it didnt show up on list for the z06. That should be it for now those 2 items are the only things i am having trouble figuring out. My Coolant tubes should have arrived today at gm i guess ill know if i need block off plates when i get them and put them on the motor. Thanks
I'm kind of confused because I'm not sure how much of the motor you have. Do you have the intake and exhaust manifolds? There are 2 coolant ports on the intake side of the heads near the deck and at the front and back. That makes 4 ports total. The LS1 has sort of an 'X' pattern coolant pipe setup. The tubes are mounted at the tips of the 'X'. In the LS6 the rear 2 ports are blocked off with the port bungs but they aren't connected to anything. The front 2 are connected together and 'T' off to the throttle body and then to the radiator. The 'X' is eliminated, mostly because the LS6 intake manifold is flat on the bottom and there is no room for it under there. I hope you are going to be using an LS6 intake manifold on the motor becuase you will lose a lot of power and torque if you don't.

Yeah i bought a Z06 intake manifold from not-a-sponsor.com pretty good price 388.00 with gasket set. I also bought Pacesetter LT's. The motor i got is a complete longblock 04 LS6 from a Z06 doesnt have the vette accessorys or intake. So i just wanted to know if since i got a LS6 complete motor would i even need block off plates. I read at Ls1howto.com i would need block off plates for crossover tube. I dont know if the LS6 engine needs blockoff plates for the crossover tube.
