Default Sweet Thunders

I'm going to buy a Dr. Gas X-pipe and 18" Sweet Thunders. Will an exhaust shop fab up the system using the x-pipe and mufflers that I bought. I'm not sure if they'll do that since I didn't buy it through them. Is this OK with most shops?

I'm planning on using the stock exhaust manifolds and cats. I want to go with 3" to the mufflers and then 2.5" over the axle. Will this work? I wouldn't mind dumping before the axle but since the Trans Ams have the rear bumper molded for the exhaust outlets, I think it would look ugly with no exhaust to fill those spaces.

What do you guys think?

Thanks

I think you should get Classic Chambered "Powersticks" instead. I think you should then proceed to post several detailed sound clips. Tia!

I can't find a shop around here (Wi) that will even try to install TD on an f-bod. I'm just going to drop cash on Lanes or TSP pre-fabed TD and be done with it.

Any guys out there with Sweet Thunders?

Did you just buy the 18" mufflers and have a shop fab the system up? Did you get the 18" mufflers or one of their custom length mufflers? Also, did anyone go with 3" over the axle with good clearance (not lowered)?

Sorry for the Qs. I just don't want to drop $800 on something that I will regret.

I'll tell you what I did. I had the TSP duals with the bullets and got the 18" sweet thunders and had a shop weld them in (well previous owner had this done) Anyhow I'm pretty sure TSP is making duals with the sweet thunders already there instead of the bullets. I'd recommend getting that. I'm dumped before the axle, lowerd with the pro-kit and my clearance is 3" at lowest point (drivers side at the bend) and 4" everywhere else.

yeah i had mine done by J and T here on long island. I bought the sweet thunders and the x-pipe but the way it had to be done i couldn't use the x-pipe i bought so they made one for me. Plus its over the axle which makes it extra sexy.
