I have the Magnaflow with LTs, ORY. Its not raspy at all. It sounds very nice actually. When I went to install it I happen to look inside to see how the exhaust would flow through it. The exhaust enters from the I-pipe, goes straight through to the drives side exit, the is a decent hole by where the I-pipe enters for the passenger exit, but overall its pretty much straight through. At idle you can feel the exhaust coming out of both tips. But give it few revs to say?...4k. You can definatly tell alot is mostly coming from the drivers side vs. passenger side. Nice tone at idle, not to loud. Nice sound at speed and WOT. One thing I noticed, is that it takes some time to break in. When we installed it on my buddy's '99 TA, stock except lid & catback, it was quieter at idle then stock. But now that its a few months old, little louder. Very nice exhaust for the money. Would definatly recommend it.

I have had the Hooker Catback on both of my TAs. I have never heard a magnaflow setup in person, so I can't honestly say it's better/worse than the Hooker. But I do know if you go the Hooker route you won't be dissapointed in it's sound or performance

I vote for the Magnaflow. Flows as good as an open cutout, 3.5" tips look badass, stainless steel, and great price. That's why I put it on my car, and the Magnaflow with SLP longtubes and 3" ORY has a nice sound. I have noticed it's a little louder with other brand longtube headers though.

Difference is minimal. Had a hooker on my LT1 and a magnaflow for my LS1. The magnaflow has significantly better quality since it is SS, but both sound great for all cars.

Another one for Magnaflow. It sounded very quiet when it was new, but it broke in nicely and sounds awesome now. Not too loud and I imagine with headers it'll freaking rock. I got mine for $320 shipped as well. CAN'T BEAT THAT!
