Is there any way...... to stop or lessen the AIR pump ticking after installing LTs without deleting the air system.....i've seen where everyone removes the air pump etc. but i bought the QTPs with all the emissions stuff, so i don't really want to remove all of it.......any help??

They make a air mod restictor plate.It is like a block off plate with a pencil size hole in it that goes between the air flange on the header and the air system hose.This restiction will stop the air system check valve flutter.I forgot where i bought this,,jegs or texas speed or thunder racing.

will i throw any codes with those restriction plates??? because i think i read that somewhere too, but i just haven't kept up with the research i did on this subject earlier because i got sidetracked with other stuff.

You don't remove anything .The restrictor plate simply goes in between the header and the air system hose.It will not set any ses codes or cause any problems.I have this done on my 2002 camaro ss with pacesetter long tubes for over a year--no problems and no ticking.

If your check valves are already ticking, I think it means they're toast. You do need the air restrictor plates so you won't burn up the new ones though. I have a set laying around if you need them.
