Red face Catted TD vs catted Y-pipe setups

I've never seen this asked, and ls1sounds didn't really help me much since most things are pretty loud on there. My question is, how much louder would a catted TD setup over the axle be vs a catted y-pipe setup be if both setups were using 18 inch bullets?

I have to have cats around here for inspection and such, so if I went with a TD setup I'd have to have cats welded in regardless. I'm not worried about losing a few horse if the ypipe setup is only gonna be a little more quiet. Doesn't seem like it would be a huge night and day difference since both setups would have 2 cats.
