common sense is usually the item that costs more will last longer and perform better.

1) Stainless steel Hooker longtubes.
2) Equal gains to within 1-2 horse power.
3) The cheapest ones you can find, most likely painted Pacesetters.

How's that for answering your questions?

Yeah, my bad. They are just about equal anyways. The deciding factor for me would be cost. Which goes to the Pacesetters

Get the pacesetters, I have had both and coated pacesetters are the same as coated hookers. If the Hookers were not coated by Jet-Hot then I think the coating is about equal. Save your $$ for other mods!!

Seein as how SDB isnt runnin a LS1 block anymore I would listen to people who actually have these products on their LS1 Camaro/Firebird. I personally dont see the point in spending $800 on headers just for stainless when you can get Coated Pacesetters for WAY less, get the same HP gains as all LT's(give or take a few HP), And by far they are the best bang for the buck. Spend your other money on other mods.

That is pretty much equal so long as you compare similer materials.
In order that would be stainless steel, coated mild steel, uncoated mild steel.

which will u see better gains from ?
Equal.

How is my 382 stroker NOT a LS1 block???? In case you didn't know, its a stock block with aftermarket crank, rods, pistons etc. I have had the FLP long tubes, and now have Kooks. The Kooks are MUCh better quality and don't rust. They also will give quite a bit more power than the others....The pacesetters are good bang for the buck, but so is a fox body mustang!! I have friends that had hookers coated, pacesetters, etc. My kooks are the best quality by far.

You might want to consider the Flowtech headers. For $350.00 you get a set of coated headers that very closely resemble the Hooker headers. Hooker and Flowtech are both owned by Holley...
We've installed Pacesetter headers and we do not care for the way they fit, especially their Y pipes. The Flowtechs fit great, give you good ground clearance, and won't bang off the floor of your car. Bob
