stainless works y-pipe i just got a stainless works ORY for manifolds and they came in like 20 pieces so its like a puzzle.. well the flanges that bolt to the manifolds are triangle but are flat all the way across.. how is this goin to work with the manifold doughnut? and has anyone installed this y pipe yet.. if so any pointers.. anything will help im goin to be starting on this saturday morning.. and i herd the manifold bolts are a bitch to get off with the rust anything would help thanx..o yeah how you think this will sound with a magnaflow catback?
I HAVE THE SAME Y-PIPE... ITS PRETTY EASY TO INSTALL. YOU WILL HAVE TO GET A NEW manifold doughnut FOR THE DRIVERSSIDE YOU CAN GET IT FROM NAPA FOR LIKE 5 OR 6 BUCKS THATS THE TRIANGLE ONE I THINK YOUR TALKING ABOUT. WHILE YOUR AT IT U MIGHT AS WELL BUY ONE FOR THE PASSANGERS SIDE CHANGE THEM BOTH SO U WONT HAVE ANY EXHAUST LEAKS... AS FOR THE MANIFOLD BOLTS I WOULD SPRAY THEM DOWN WITH WD-40 THE NIGHT BEFORE THE INSTALL. JUST GET AN 18" BREAKER BAR AND THEY SHOULD BREAK LOOSE PRETTY EASILY. IF YOU TRY TO HIT THEM WITH AN IMPACT TOOL BEFORE YOU BREAK THEM LOOSE, U MIGHT BREAK THE BOLT INSIDE THE MANIFOLD. AS FOR THE SOUND ITS GOING TO SOUND A LITTLE RASPY WITHOUT THE CATS SO U MIGHT WANT TO PUT A BULLET MUFFLER ON YOUR I-PIPE OR A BORLA MUFFLER... IF U WANT LOUD YOUR ON THE RIGHT TRACK... HOPE THIS HELPS.... OH YEAH DONT FORGET THE O2 SIMS OR YOU WILL START THROWING CODES.....
