Default Stumbling after Ported TB

I ported my stock TB the other day and when I put it back in and had everything connected, the car stumbled like crazy at idle the first 2 times I started it up. The third time was the charm, because it was fine after the third startup. I made SURE not to port near the blade too. Has that happened to anyone before?

I didn’t put any epoxy to fill in the holes yet, but when I do, will I need tuning?

Thanks guys!

P.S. I have a TR 224 114 cam, headers, borla, fernco bellow (Home Depot), catted Y and a lid.

It'll take is some time, maybe a week or two, before your PCM gets acqainted with your new TB. If it keeps on after a week or so, need to get it retuned.

My car was fine on the 3rd startup (within 2-3 minutes), but will it be fine if I put the epoxy in there? I just don't want to put it over the top.

Have you guys had idle issues on the initial startup from a ported stock tb with the epoxy filling?

I ported/epoxied mine a coupla years ago. I don't remember having any problems, except the IAC pintle stuck and whined a little then popped into place. I may have done the idle relearn procedure. Heck, when I installed headers recently, it found it's idle pretty fast, haven't messed with it yet.

So I guess from the lack of responses, I shouldn't worry about it because it's usually not a problem?
