Suggestion: do not leave any bolt not "pulled in" / torqued all the way, unless you want to live with a ticking noise and maybe have to buy a new gasket. A bottom tap would probably be the best thing to use, or some slightly shorter bolts. The stockers have a small portion unthreaded on the lead in taper, anyway.
It was amazing to me that the drivers side bolts (in my case) just threaded in perfect, whereas the pass side was a major PITA. I suspect that part was the sealant on the original bolt threads, part trying to line everything up and get the thread starts in major heat. :shrug: I can't blame it on the headers 'cause I don't believe they were at fault.
