Yeah I had one of the original ones that had the motor problem, and took mine off altogether for a while. I bought a new one about a month ago and put it on and it's running fine, I also find it seals better than the old one.

Mine came apart after about a year 1/2. The small bolts holding the motor to the body of the cutout worked their way loose and the whole assembly flew apart on the freeway. Freaked me out big time as I heard a godawful banging on the underside of the car. The power cable kept the motor from flying away but after hitting the pavement 10-15 times until I stopped it was junk. I called QTP about it and they wanted $30 to fix it. Never have gotten around to sending it in.

My advice to you QTP owners is to disassemble the motor and red locktite everything so you don't end up like me.

Good product, its just that sometimes there are some crappy ones around. Also, lookout for the switches on them. They kinda suck. So if you're cutout starts blowing fuses all of a sudden, its your switch thats bad.

Quality is second to none. Have one on all my rides. Highly recomend it. Do even bother looking at another brand. They are not in the same league. And they support the site. Others never have.

Yea, DMH rocks. Way better quality than the QTP, and cheaper.

Had my QTP's for less than a month before the motors starting falling off on both. They are almost gone and are rattling badly. Just plain trash, IMO.
