Default Fipk?

Well, just picked up a 99 TA...

I've not heard much about FIPK's, I've seen some people run Volant CAI's, but no FIPK's...

Main reason I'm curious, is because I've had an FIPK on multiple other vehicles, and was always pleased with the results...

Anyone got any experience with them?

Thanks,

-Will

use the search (search fipk) function. a lot of people like em, a lot of people think its a wste of money (~300.) when you can get a lid for ~90 and performance is the same

Go with a lid. Better bang for your buck. It the cat-back is stock yo may want to search (cut-out) This is a great mod as well.

Thanks guys....I've found one used, so its not much more than a lid ...

Thanks, I know about the cutout, but I'm just gonna do a full exhaust, I'm not a big fan of how cutouts sound

I'm against the FIPK but I do have something else also. I would get a used lid and a FTRA. The FIPK cannot achieve ram-air.

I like the FIPK. Noticed considerably better throttle response over stock lid.

Fast Toys Ram Air,

http://fasttoys.net/shop/product_inf...products_id=28

Any lid will give you better throttle response over the stocker, I'm sure the FIPK will too. Hell, just doing the Free Ram Air mod will do that. The stock airbox is very restrictive. According to Fast Toys, the best setup with the flow testing they've done is the FTRA, Direct Flo lid, and a KN Air Filter.

I have a FIPK, but I cant compare it to anything. Tha car had nothing on it when I bought it. I have a ws6 hood so I am confident that I am getting plenty of cold air to it. I would like to make a box and seal it so I only get outside air. They do have a pretty loud whisle. My brother says he can hear my intake before my exhaust when I'm coming down the road.
